Product Description

The Rockwell Automation 9101-1553 Allen Bradley Servo drive is a self-contained, 15A, 1-phase, 120-240VAC, 50-60Hz unit that uses microcomputers for precise digital control of position, current, and velocity. Requiring an external 12-24VDC power source for I/O, it delivers peak torque of 0.48-7.12 N-m and continuous torque of 0.17-2.5 N-m when paired with brushless servo motors. Its Intelligent Power Module (IPM) technology provides high-frequency PWM and comprehensive protection against overtemperature, short circuits, and overcurrent. The drive features a front panel with clearly marked, accessible indicators and connectors, along with analog and digital interfaces including multiple binary input presets, a 10V analog interface for torque/velocity control, CW/CCW and step/direction digital interfaces for position control, a quadrature encoder interface for electronic gearing, and interfaces for operating mode override and indexing. Programmable via digital I/O channels, it offers selectable optically isolated inputs and outputs, dedicated control inputs, and relay outputs, all with extensive diagnostic and protection features including LED fault indication for short circuits, over temperature, overcurrent, overspeed, bus over/undervoltage, watchdog timers, and I-T protection.
