The Prosoft Technology MVI56-DFCMR is a single-slot, reduced data block DF1 interface module for ControlLogix processors, enabling communication with DF1-compatible devices like Allen-Bradley PLCs and power monitoring equipment. It features three front-facing ports: a CFG port for configuration and debugging, and two user-configurable (master/slave) application ports (PRT1 and PRT2) with full hardware handshaking, suitable for radio, modem, and multi-drop applications. The module, compatible with ControlLogix backplanes and drawing 0.8 Amps at 5V DC, facilitates data exchange via ladder logic programming and is often used in remote rack Ethernet or ControlNet applications. Included with the module are an RS232 null modem cable, RJ45 to DB9 adapter, DB9 female to screw terminal adapters, and a CD containing documentation, sample programs, and utilities.
